I couldn't agree more with your observations about building relationships in so many different ways. I've also noticed over the years that the AFTA conventions give me an opportunity for human connections to long-term as well as new friends in the field. Regardless of what I know about them from FB and Twitter, seeing them, talking, sharing hugs is a way of reminding myself that we have all had our ups and downs -- and we are still standing.
